Before I left for Seattle, Bill at the flower shop told me, “Sorry you’re going to Seattle.” Apparently, it’s not for everyone—with the rain, gray skies, and occasional homeless freak-out. But me? I think Seattle is for me. My trip had a little bit of everything I was hoping for: great views, good food, plenty of places to wander around with a camera, and just enough weirdness to keep things interesting. I didn’t find Bigfoot or even a mountain goat during my trip to North Cascades National Park, but the glacial lakes were incredible. Back in Seattle, I had some great vegan food and spent plenty of time taking pictures, including some great views from Kerry Park and Discovery Park. I also stumbled across some jellyfish at Pier 62 after walking through Pike Place Market—which, if you’ve never seen a jellyfish, you have to see one. Bill, you are a good guy but this good guy will definitely be visiting Seattle again.
